Gábli: breakfast-and-lunch in the Liliomkert market of Káptalantóti
Gábli stands for a late tiffin: neither breakfast, nor lunch, it is both at the same time. Gábli offers savoury biscuits, cakes, home-made cordials, coffee and Laposa wines on every Sunday in the Káptalantóti market.
The Liliomkert market in Káptalantóti is the number one farmers’ market at Lake Balaton, with several hundreds of local producers selling their goods: cheese, cakes, cordials, fruits and unused objects. This market, however, is not merely for buying, but rather for having good eats.
Gábli stands for a late tiffin: it is something like a Sunday brunch. It is neither breakfast, nor lunch, but both at the same time. Hence the name of our brand new spot in Liliomkert, where you can make up for a missed breakfast or even have another one if the first was too early in the morning. Food is prepared by Erika, co-owner and chef of the Tapolca-based restaurant Pura Vida and the vines are supplied by Laposa Vine Estate from Badacsony. Pastries, savoury pies, cakes, home-made cordials, fine coffee and Laposa wines wait for you until 2:00 p.m.
Gábli is a laid-back place for small talk, apéro and coffee time – for an easy Sunday morning. Gábli is a kid- and dog-friendly place where cyclists are also welcome!
